A challenging but easy to follow sermon by The Right Rev Bishop Michael Stead

For many Christians there is a nagging sense that they would like to be more spiritual whatever that means. But what exactly does it look like when a person is  spiritual? 

The parable of the Good Samaritan is a story almost everyone knows, regardless of their beliefs.  It's all about doing what we know in our hearts we should - not walking past those in need, even if offering help is inconvenient, costly, risky... and all the other reasons which make us look the other way, take a detour. And we should do this even if the person in trouble is unknown to us.

Here are the words, reminding us that the world can take away everything we have - including our life. But that "one little word", Jesus, will protect us from Satan's power and God's kingdom, which through faith we are part of, goes on forever.
